SCHOOL AND NEW ASSETS AS FURNITURE

  • OUR School now a bit of forwarding its incremental growth in quality of products like school resources and its students in the way of education.
  • Getting the right furniture is a collaborative process, not a one-off decision, and should involve conversations with stakeholders and users.
  •  Build-in, or double up, on spaces and furniture elements – steps which double as seats, corridors with niches for private study.
  • Break-out of the orthodox teaching arrangements and informal spaces for discussions to be considered.

  • Considering how the furniture that we choose will support or embed certain pedagogy, including enabling creative use of spaces and imaginative play, or encouraging different types of group working or communication.

  • Assumptions and knowing the market through study are different approaches and will give different results.
  • There is no right furniture out there – in some cases the best results will be achieved by creating something new as a standalone or an attachment to fit the school’s particular needs.
  •  Equally, while considering all options we don’t have to start from scratch – be inspired by examples from case studies, both within the education sector and further afield
